The DePaul University English Department Spring Conference 2021 is a celebration of words and the worlds they build, challenge, and give voice to. This multi-panel virtual event provides space for students to demonstrate their best work in fiction, literary analysis, creative non-fiction, and poetry. These pieces are read and discussed by students and faculty across three sessions focused on the narrative themes and devices of perspective, places, and persistence. The conference will begin with Chicago author Julia Fine and end with a faculty-led career panel before an evening event featuring two MAWP alum authors, Zhanna Slor and Jessica Chiarella.
